I had one in-person HR interview that felt unusually long and included a large number of very detailed questions. Many of them seemed overly personal, focusing on topics such as my family, partner, and personal background rather than my professional qualifications.
I was initially rejected because they decided to move forward with another candidate. Later, when that candidate did not work out, I was invited back for a technical interview. Unfortunately, the second interview followed a similar pattern, with many repeated and personal questions and very limited focus on my resume or professional experience. Only two technical questions were asked, both related to tools I was not familiar with.
There was no clear discussion about salary expectations or compensation. Additionally, no travel reimbursement was offered, despite the office being located far from central areas and requiring significant travel time.
Overall, the process felt disorganized and heavily focused on personal matters rather than assessing relevant technical skills and experience.
