The interview involved a one on one with the engineering manager, a hands on computer test, a written Q&A test, an interview with HR followed by two IQ tests.
The interview started off with discussion with the engineering manager. During that discussion, the manager made a couple of negative comments about my, then, current employer that I thought were inappropriate. I was then seated at one of the computer stations in the engineering area and given a timed written test. The test required the identification of types of fasteners etc. (not difficult) but it was several pages. The next phase involved a hands on test using the 3D design software that was also timed. They threw a twofold curve ball by providing a modified system where the menus were not setup as expected and a major sketcher function (pan normal to screen) was disabled. Also, the part that they asked me to design needed to be a swept protrusion whose axis was remote to the sketched profile (not immediately obvious). After this, I was walked down to HR. The woman never looked me in the eye and seemed to be half listening to what I was saying. She then brought me into a room and handed me an IQ test that was timed. This test was followed by a second test that wasn't timed. The whole interview took 3+ hours. Lunch time came and went. I was never asked if I wanted something to drink or if I needed to use the restroom, or if I wanted to go to lunch. To date, this is by far the worst interview experience that I've ever had.
