I recently attended a panel interview for the second stage of the hiring process. While the initial recruiter call was thorough, professional, and set a positive tone, the onsite experience was unfortunately not aligned with that standard.
When I arrived, there was no one to greet or guide me, which I managed on my own. However, there were further challenges. The interviewers were not prepared with a room, which caused a 15-minute delay and shortened the scheduled interview time. During the panel discussion, I found most participants disengaged, with the exception of the hiring manager. Despite my attempts to engage the group with thoughtful questions, the majority of the panel offered minimal interaction.
While I understand that I may not have been the ideal candidate for the role, I believe every candidate deserves a professional and respectful experience. Basic courtesies, such as being prepared and engaged during the interview and providing proper closure at the end, are important for representing the organization positively.
I saw other reviews mention the HR team, I did not want to have a bias mindset but I guess the reviews have some truth....
I withdrew my application from this experience.
