I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Route in Dec 2023
Interview
Came across the job listing, sent in a resume and cover letter.
A week later, I got an email that:
• had me bcc'd
• didn't address me by name
• didn't list the job title
• told me to view a video from the hiring manager describing the position (who named a different title than what was originally listed)
• then asked me to create a video introducing myself and provide information already included in my cover letter
They asked for a video that was 5-6 minutes long and that it be uploaded on a hosted platform. I did so and got a form rejection email a few days later. When I followed up to ask for feedback, I received (no exaggeration) a multi-paragraph Lord of the Rings-themed OOO email.
So to recap: They bcc’d the entire candidate pool, farmed out the screening process to applicants, changed the job title, and sent a LOTR auto-response when I asked for feedback.
Just an absolutely weird, off-putting application process.

I applied for the job on the company website. A few days later, I was sent an email by a recruiter, with instructions on how to make a video interview of myself, introducing my experience and answering a question about a writing sample. There was no communication until an automated rejection email.
