I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SEC in Mar 2015
Interview
The application/interview process was pretty straightforward. I submitted a resume and cover letter through USAJobs (I think there was some supplemental documentation, too, and that can be found on the SEC's site; USAJobs lists some of the requirements, but you should be careful because some are spelled out far more clearly on the SEC's site), and a few weeks later, I received an e-mail requesting an interview. I had one behavioral interview that lasted about 30 minutes, and heard back pretty shortly thereafter with an offer.
I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at SEC (Washington, DC) in Feb 2025
Interview
I completed an online application and specified my divisions of interest. Then, I was contacted to interview with a professional. Later, I was extended an offer with ten days to respond.
Takes a while to get to the interview as they do background check, but once there appears to go quickly (I heard back within a week, and I believe others had similar experiences)
The interview process was as expected, and the questions were pretty standard for the internship application process. I had several rounds of interviews over the phone, and all went very smoothly. The interviewers answered my questions very easily.
