I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at SLB (Midland, TX) in Mar 2013
Interview
First had an on-campus interview the day after an information session. Go to the information session! The recruiter told me she selects almost everyone that goes to the information session for the 2nd interview. The first interview is behavioral based questions.
They email or call you and let you know you have a second interview. My second interview was in Midland TX.
We got in around 3pm. The interview stuff didn't start until 6pm which consisted of presentations by the recruiters and then presentations by the interviewees on topics we had been given a few days before. We presented in groups of 3. We had emailed each other to put a PowerPoint together and then did a practice run when we got to the hotel. They keep you up late to see how you handle long days and stressful situations. We didn't present until just after midnight and didn't go to bed until about 2am. In between presentations they do a team building exercise we had to get water from a water bottle on the ground into a cup on a table using a variety of random things.
They had us be ready to leave at 7:30 the next morning. We visited a drilling rig in the middle of nowhere and then after lunch we looked at fracking units. Then we got back to the hotel, showered and had our final exit interviews. This was very laid-back and they didn't ask many questions. It lasted about 5 minutes. Then we had dinner and we flew out super early the next morning.

It was an on campus hiring. First they shortlisted based on CV. Then second round was group discussion where we were given abstract topics like "Half filled glass of water" and were asked to discuss. This was also an eliminatory round. The final round was more of a HR round, they asked behavioural questions, few puzzles (very easy) and general knowledge questions
