I applied March 4, 2026 and got an email for a phone screen with the recruiter on April 3, 2026. Our phone screen was on April 7, 2026 and all around it was a great conversation. The recruiter set me up to speak to the hiring director the next day, but was cancelled the day of as he was OOO from then to the end of the week and was rescheduled to April 14. 2026. When meeting with the hiring director, he wore a t-shirt and our call was interrupted by a repairman to fix his A/C system. I get life happens, but as a candidate it sends a message that your time isn't really being taken seriously. The following day I got a generic email saying that they've pivoted toward another direction on a candidate. The following rounds include a panel interview and a case study. Be careful of case studies in the Amazon space especially if unpaid. The position is an agency managed role so you can risk your ideas being passed onto the agency of record to execute without you.
