Thorough process of roughly 4 weeks that shows how careful Segment is about who they take on and also gives an extensive opportunity to candidates to get a clear idea of the company culture and people they will be working with. Overall very good experience , professional and excellent communication with the recruitment team at every stage.
For this particular role there were more steps than initially planned due to the fact that the role is brand new.
Summary of interview process:
1- initial call with the in-house recruiter who was very enthusiastic and friendly
2- 30 min call with the hiring manager who was also very positive and friendly
3- 3 rounds of interviews with different team members to see if I would fit with the company core values and partnership values
4- second meeting with the hiring manager and a Customer Success team member including a mock deal review presentation and the opportunity for me to ask some questions
5- 2 separate meetings with two different regional sales managers
6- Wrap up call with hiring manager informing of final decision
7- offer received!
During the whole process everyone was genuinely friendly and asking only relevant questions to better understand who I was and how I would be working. The process was pleasant and by far the most positive and professional interview process I have been through.
