      Tech Analyst Interview

      Oct 14, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Cambridge, MA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Shell (Cambridge, MA) in May 2015

      Interview

The interview process was only done over one day. I applied online and got an email a few weeks later to come in for an interview. The interview took place where all applicants are brought in at the same time to interview around at five different stations and rotate to each station. So I started by speaking with some engineers at the problem solving station and took fifteen minutes there and went on to the next station until I spoke with all five representatives. They made hiring decisions based on this one day of interviews.

      Interview questions [5]

      Question 1

One station was an analytical reasoning problem where they give you a relevant business situation and ask you to walk them through your reasoning as you try to get to the bottom of the problem. They answered all questions you had about the hypothetical situation while you reason out a solution.

      Question 2

The next was a chat with the HR representative where they familiarize you with how the application process works and you can ask any questions you have.

      Question 3

The next station was a basic personality and behavior interview.

      Question 4

The next station asked me to solve a few short technical questions like pseudo-code program writing and small quiz questions.

      Question 5

The last station asked about previous experience and how you would fit in at the company.
