Shugart Bates interview questions

My resume was found by respective employer and I was offered an interview to discuss my qualifications. The job required having a specific office work experience which I was lacking. I tried to prepare some work samples to show them at the interview, hoping to make them convinced by showing my abilities and enthusiasm for design and the willingness to learn new skills, but it was not promoting enough. The experience I got from this interview is that some employers simply look for specifically experienced and already skilled people, and they simply are not able or just not interested in newbies who have the willingness to start a career and grow in their industries. It shows me the employers' lack of support for new grads and new generation of designers at today's tough job market.
