My interview started on a very positive note. The Talent Acquisition Manager was encouraging, told me several times they supported my candidacy, and left me with a strong impression that my profile was a good fit.
However, after being told I would receive an update within a few days, I never heard back. Even after sending a polite follow-up email weeks later, I still received no reply. This silence was especially unpleasant given the positive words shared during the interview.
I understand that companies often have to choose between strong candidates, but completely ignoring applicants after promising feedback feels unprofessional and disrespectful. A simple “yes” or “no” would have shown far more respect for the time and effort candidates put into the process.
