      Fixed Operations Support Specialist Interview

      Oct 17, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Sumner, WA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Solera (Sumner, WA)

      Interview

On Aug. 11th, I applied through Indeed (which made me apply through the company site).I received an auto rejection email the same day. The job posting popped up again on my Indeed feed, so I applied again on Sep. 9th. I received a text message from a recruiter Oct. 3rd following up on my application and wanted to set up an interview that week. The text message seemed a little sketchy since the recruiter's English was not that great, and his grammar was all over the place. I ended up scheduling a virtual meeting through Microsoft Teams with him on Oct. 4th. The recruiter was my interviewer. He asked about my experience as a service advisor and working in dealerships. He asked if I was familiar with automotive parts terminology and asked how I rated my customer service and technology skills. He asked why I wanted to leave my job, but he did not ask me any behavioral questions. He told me more about Solera, the benefits, the position (which ended up being fully remote & he said the company would provide all equipment). He told me the interview went well and said the next step would be to take two assessments - the CCAT aptitude assessment & EPP personality assessment. He emailed a practice link for the CCAT assessment & the link for both tests. I completed both tests and had the opportunity to retake the CCAT. I do terribly on timed tests, so I took plenty of practice tests the second time and gave myself 15 seconds to answer each question. The test I took gave me 15 minutes to answer all 50 questions. FYI, the CCAT assessment has three types of questions: Verbal reasoning, Numerical & Logical reasoning, and Spatial reasoning. I passed my 2nd test, and the recruiter reached out to the hiring manager to set up another virtual interview. It took three days to hear back from the manager, and I set the follow-up interview for the next day (Oct. 13th). The next morning, I received a job offer from a different company I had interviewed with and accepting the position. I canceled my follow-up interview, and the recruiter was kind and wished me luck with my new role.
