      Chemist Interview

      Dec 10, 2013
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      La Porte, TX
      Declined offer
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Solvay (La Porte, TX)

      Interview

Applied for the job. Received call from HR. On-site interview included touring the lab, interview with Manager and meeting a few others. Interview was intense, panel style. Grilled with basic behavior questions very quickly from different people. Wasn't given the chance to think long enough to give an appropriate response before another asked a question. I think they are looking for someone who can deal with difficult workers more than someone who has great experience. They told me that they had very strong personalities in the workplace that could be hard to deal with. They asked me several questions about different situations and told me several scenarios that had occurred in the past. Honestly, this scared me away and I politely decline my interest. It's worth it.
