I have been working at Solvay full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Competitive salary, pretty good benefits, self accountability is encouraged, support for work-life balance (most of the time), freedom to challenge management, global culture, company principles espouse a genuine desire to improve life on this planet.

    Cons

Limited vertical movement for women; fewer opportunities for Americans to transfer around the world; clunky internal IT infrastructure; communication from top-down could be more inclusive.

    Advice to Management

Remain supportive of employee work-life balance and continue building opportunities for employees to network with each other.

    Pros

Management leaves you alone to do your work, coworkers are nice, overall friendly atmosphere

    Cons

Pay has stayed about the same for the past 15 years, Management makes decisions based on emotions (what's not ok one day is ok the next, depending on their mood)

    Advice to Management

    None (They wouldn't listen anyways)

    Pros

It was a good place to work for a short period of time

    Cons

A work week of seven days and 70 hours was expected. Manufacturing was not performing and instead of holding this group accountable many work around were expected. High turnover and management was hired externally

    Advice to Management

Get to real issues and solve these vs. Only the easy fixes.
