I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at State Industrial Products in Sep 2018
Interview
First, a phone interview with an HR representative then an online questionnaire with three parts, one of which is timed. Next I spoke to a regional manager. Most of the time was spent telling me about the company and daily operations. I was told this position is open due to the current Account Manager failing to expand the business, however the regional manager did not have information at hand about sales volume and targets, and the numbers he did eventually find didn't really support what I was told about the current employee. When the topic of commissions and compensation came up, I was given a vague estimate of earning potential, and no real details. Overall, a lot of red flags.
Overall positive interview experience. The head recruiter with the company, was great to talk to. He explained the company and role really well. He was transparent and gave a great impression of the company.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at State Industrial Products (Rock Hill, SC) in Aug 2024
Interview
I did a ride-along with the regional manager. I observed what the position required. It was an opportunity to ask the manager questions, meet existing customers, and learn about the products. It happened to be on a stormy day and I had to work together with the manager to navigate the storm and a road that was closed due to it.
