Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read about your experience. Our Hiring Process is quite detailed and well documented internally. There are strict SOPs to be followed and most of these are non-negotiable. The stages of recruitment and selection process, in general, include:
1. Screening of CV by HR
2. Telephonic Interview by HR
3. Video Interview with Reporting Manager
4. Online Aptitude or Psychometric Test
5. Personal Interview with Management, which may include a written test
6. Reference Check and Negotiation.
Yes, we look at optimizing the mix of experience, expertise, and expectations. It is not always possible, but we would any day prefer expertise over expectations. More than 60% of our operational cost is manpower cost and it is natural for us to ensure we are careful with what we offer as it is a long term commitment.
In the personal round of interview, we normally don't test the candidate's technical skills or knowledge. We believe that the personal interview is an opportunity for the company and candidate to select each other. It is not a one-way interaction. Moreover, we look for candidates who will fit into the culture of Strategum. Interview questions like "What makes you unhappy" are conversation starters, helps the candidate to lower the guard and relax. It also helps us to dive deep into a candidates mind, and understand his empathy and thought process. We believe that it is important to manage one's emotions, especially if its a team leader role.
