I applied at Sony as an Intern position for my master thesis. I received a request for an interview after 2 weeks. The interview was conducted by two researchers, who were calm and not stressing. They gave me all the information about Sony STC, so there is no need to anticipate question regarding the company. All the questions were related to my semester projects or the field in general in which I wanted to work.

What is the kernel trick in SVM? How does PCA work? General questions about digital system design. What are the two kind of digital filters ? and then general questions about them, i.e why are IIR more often used, what do you have to pay attention to, etc ?
