Summit County Children Services interview questions

I originally applied for a social work position in intake and never heard back. Over a month or two later, they contacted me and asked if I would be interested in an intake position. I was told by an employee the process would be two interviews; however, mine consisted of only one, lengthy interview. I believe it was because they were expedited the process due to short staff and training classes beginning soon. STAR method is important for their interviews. Several “if this happened, what is your response”. They also asked you to put tasks in order of importance. Overall the interview was a little more on the difficult side, but fairly average for social work agencies.

I had a short phone interview with human resources. I did not think it was a productive interview. They checked all of my references before contacting me for an interview. I wish they would not have done this because it was a waste of my references' time; this is a step that normally doesn't take place until right before or after an offer is made.
