Sun-Sentinel interview questions

I applied online and a month later was flown down for a 2-day interview process. A month later I hadn’t gotten an answer and had received another job offer, but I wanted this one more. When I pushed to get an answer, I eventually was told that there was no job to make an offer on. I guess it was frozen. I knew they had another news reporter opening so I asked to be considered for that position and was told they wanted more time to make the decision. Basically, they wanted other options. The whole experience was unprofessional. If I hadn’t put them on the spot, they were never planning to tell me that the job they position I interviewed for (and that they paid airfare and a beachfront hotel room for) was going unfilled.
