I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Talkdesk (Sydney) in May 2022
Interview
- HR first touch call
- Hiring Manager interview via zoom
- VP/Director interview via zoom
- Demo presentation to a panel
The process was long (over 2 months since applying) and included rejection and then an invitation to an interview. Towards the next stage again the interview was cancelled due to headcount uncertainties (?) and after a few weeks, I got an invitation again.
The hiring manager was friendly and accommodating, looking at the big picture other than into specific details. I ended up unsuccessful over a lack of specific experience, a detail that was communicated clearly many time - LinkedIn, CV, and first interview.
Smooth process overall, with efficient communication throughout. Very structured process and top-notch professionals on the other end. It was a demanding but pleasant experience, and I learned a lot during the process.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Talkdesk (Montreal, QC)

Question 1

Interview
There was an initial Phone Screen, and then a meeting with the Hiring Manager, a meeting with the Director and then a Panel Interview. You are given a partner to assist with the panel prep who is a current employee in the role. This is very helpful and lets you see how it is working with a member of the team. Once the panel was done feedback was given before hanging up.
The issue was it then took 20 days to hear back about if I would receive an offer or not. This only happened after constantly sending emails to see. After putting in hours of work for a panel demo you would think you wouldn't have to wait that long. Once I was told I did not get the role it was stated that I did great but they decided to go with an internal hire. They then stated that all they need is another role that should be opening up for me to be hired.
Within a week or two another role was posted but I was not contacted. I reached back out to the recruiter but received no reply. I applied applied to the role and was rejected. This definitely left me puzzled after the feedback given.
