Interview questions [1]
Question 1
why tandemn launnch? what did you do in your previous role?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TandemLaunch (Montreal, QC) in Oct 2025
Interview
Absolute waste of time.
Their interview process has 3 rounds:
1. Intro interview (30 min) with a venture developer.
2. In-person “technical” interview where you have to prepare a 10-minute mock pitch on a topic or patent they pick — basically giving them an hour of free consulting.
3. HR interview, supposed to be 30 minutes but lasted 10 because she clearly just wanted to check a box.
After all that, they checked my references and I was told they were drafting an offer. Then… total radio silence for two weeks. When I finally followed up, they suddenly told me they decided not proceed with my "candidacy".
Two months of wasted time, effort, and energy. They just use the interview process to squeeze free ideas out of candidates.
Avoid this company. Very unprofessional and disorganized. I’m actually relieved I didn’t end up working with them, but wow — what a joke of a process.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself and your PhD.
Why did you choose this company?
What are the potential applications of the proposed technology? what are the challenges for scaling up?
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at TandemLaunch (Montreal, QC) in Sep 2025
Interview
This is not a real interview.
After the phone interview, the company asks candidates to pick a paper from their pool, spend a week doing deep research, and prepare a full presentation — all for free. No matter how well you perform, they will decline you with the excuse of "no suitable roles." Essentially, they are exploiting candidates to do free work under the guise of an interview.
