I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Tecla (WA) in May 2025
Interview
I got contacted by one of the hirers from TECLA for latam developers, at the beginning the interviewer contacted me on linkedin to subscribe to their hiring platform to participate of the process.
I got information about the company that was hiring and I took a look in their dvlmnt website and it was a website poorly made on wix, full of bugs.
Then on the interview itself it started with the interview speaking and reading so fast that it was impossble to understand the english. Also the interviewer was clearly reading while speaking.
It was 30 minutes of me trying to solve the puzzle of understand her english being spoken so fast that was impossible to understand, and I couldn't understand properly because even when asked to spoke slower the interviewer kept to speak like this: "your responsboenio2345n519".
Then I got the reply that my english was bad, but my responses for the questions were not clear because it was impossible to understand the interviewer.
It looks that she was just trying to fill the platform with candidates and doing the interview fast as possible, this dvlmnt company probably does not even exist.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tecla (WA) (Santiago) in Feb 2020
Interview
eles me contataram por e-mail, fizemos a entrevista e disseram que eu fui selecionado para o segundo turno. Nunca mais ouvi falar deles. Alguns meses se passam e eles entram em contato comigo novamente e acontece o mesmo cenário.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tecla (WA) (New York, NY) in May 2023
Interview
I've been reached by a recruiter on Linkedin. All the standard preaching about how amazing/disruptive the company is. Also, the standard saying that my profile is a perfect fit for them. Despite that, they haven't read a single line of my profile.
During the first interview, I simply asked: "Is this going to be one of those standard selections? Tons of steps, demands and no feedback?". The recruiter got furious. Became mean, harsh and rude. A few hours later, I've gotten a message saying that I was being excluded from the selection because they value respect and professionalism.
Well, I could have better phrased my question. Still, is it ok for them to be harsh like that then? I'm glad it happened. Imagine discovering how "respectful" they are after being under a contract with them?
