      Broad Resident Interview

      May 15, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Broad Institute in Feb 2012

      Interview

I made it through the first two of a five part process in being accepted as a Broad Resident. The initial step is to submit your resume for review. If you make it through that process then you are asked to submit a writing sample which includes answering two essay questions. Based on the outcome of that stage then you would be invited for a phone or Skype interview.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Describe the most significant work-related leadership role you have taken on. Provide details on the management issues faced (situation/circumstances), explain the specific outcomes achieved, describe which skills you relied on, and what lessons you learned.
      Answer question

      Question 2

As a new Resident he was asked to develop and implement a performance evaluation system for all 225 employees of the organization, including 100 teachers at the schools. Teachers are not cooperative and reluctant to change. What would you do in the first 60 days to ensure the success of this project?
