I applied for a PM role and clearly stated my time zone and availability in my cover letter and email correspondence to arrange the interview. However, the interview was set for 4 AM my time, and when I wrote to ask them to please change the time, I received an out of office email. So I had no choice but to wake up in the middle of the night for the interview. It was a panel interview and went well. I was told I might be asked to get on a plane within 48 hours and to be ready. But then I never heard a thing back, even after sending a thank you and multiple follow-ups. A month later, I saw that there were other vacancies being advertised and decided to write to one of the people from the panel to ask whether they thought I would be a good fit for it. They ended up asking me to interview for a different job they were recruiting for (which wasn't advertised on the website), and by the end of a 30 minute conversation had made me an offer for this new job.
