      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Loft Toronto (Pittsburgh, PA) in Mar 2015

      Interview

I applied online and received a call within days. My manager now was my interviewer. She was friendly and open and honest about what they were looking for. It was an over all really great experience. She asked me basic questions about my availability and my career goals. She also talked a lot about fashion and The Loft brand which i loved. Loft as a company is extremely well organized and their culture is great, so hearing about it really made me want this position.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Loft Toronto (Jersey City, NJ) in Jun 2014

      Interview

It was a group interview. One person did not show, so it was just me and another woman. The manager brought us to the backroom and we sat down. She asked us questions that weren't very difficult to answer. I didn't think I would get hired because I was very nervous and didn't feel very charismatic. The woman next to me seemed very comfortable and friendly, so I felt very bad after the interview thinking that I had definitely not gotten the job. They told me that they would call me within a week and did not. I called them and told them that I didn't receive any call from the manager and the girl working there was very rude and gave me no explanation as to why she may have not called me. Instead, she just kept saying, "the manager is not here" with an obvious attitude. I felt as though I had definitely not gotten the job at that point. Another week passed and I received a call by the manager informing me that I had been hired. I was very shocked and excited. The other woman I interviewed with had not been hired. From this experience I know that how you dress to the interview is VERY important. The other woman was poorly dressed but was very pleasant. I made a big effort to dress nicely (I wore a black blazer and nice white blouse tucked into a black pencil skirt with black tights and some oxford shoes). Try your best to look "cute/pretty" to the interview. Make sure your hair looks neat. They like only a little bit of makeup, and don't wear sneakers. It's also good to smile a lot.

      Question 1

Who is your style icon? How do you handle stressful situations? What is your availability like? Why do you want to work here?
