Applied online, the senior HR recruiter called to set up an in-person interview. When I showed up at the agreed time, the receptionist claimed that the interview was actually set up an hour later and was actually insinuating that it was my fault for showing up early. I had to fill out the same application I filled out online. It was ridiculous. The HR person was nice and told me a bit about the company, which is honestly providing outdate services. The facility itself is also quite old and the office had a vibe that was unwelcoming. Most of the cubicles were empty and I only saw less than a dozen people while I was at the office. The interviewers were quite pleasant, but the interview was super formal and made me feel very awkward. I was asked to do an editorial test unexpectedly, and I thought the "editorial" test was stupid-easy. In fact, it had nothing to do with editing and was rather a multiple-choice questionnaire. I waited for a few weeks until reaching out to HR, which she politely told me I was no longer considered. All in all, this is one of the most unnecessary long interview processes I've ever had.
