      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Thompson Hospitality

      Interview

I was in another position when a recruiter contacted me via the work location. They asked for the manager and proceeded to probe whether l would be interested in interviewing for a management position at another nearby college. At that time our account was in the rebid process, so l listened to what he had to say. He also asked if I had fellow managers that may be interested in positions. He called twice more and was cocky saying we lost the account I was at. All the while I'm thinking dumb a.. no we didn't, but I didn't tell him otherwise. Finally, he tells me someone will be in touch with me from the corporate office. Well it took over three weeks for one of the head honchos, to contact me. I let that honcho know that three weeks is too long to have an applicant waiting to hear from someone. Well he got his feelings attacked and ended the call. All I could do was laugh. And that itself left a bad impression about those who run the company and the recruiting tatics.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Thompson Hospitality (Washington, DC) in Aug 2010

      Interview

I was initially contacted by a current GM of one of their locations, and was scheduled for an interview with the one of the Vice Presidents of the company. The interview was held at one of the downtown restaurants. The interviewer was held up, but arrived with other members of the company, and they seemed pressed for time. I was immediately asked about my salary expectations, and my answer garnered no response. They proceeded to discuss the inception of the company and the philosophies and culture established. I was asked a few general questions, regarding my work history, but as I had come recommended, and there were time constraints the interview was relatively short. At the time, I though that a bad sign, but looking back, it was likely due to the heavy schedule of the parties involved.
