Applied online. There was a quick personality assessment. First interview was an hour long call with a recruiter. Next interview was a 60 minute virtual with 2 hiring managers. Then a 90 minute virtual interview with 4 people. This was supposed to be the last step. I was then asked to go in for an additional 90 minute in person interview. I received an offer about a week after last interview. I asked to delay my start date due to my Father being in the hospital. A few days later my Father passed away. I wrote them to let them know and said I would need some time. A couple hours after I emailed them… A recruiter called AND texted me. This was on the day my Father died. It had already been agreed upon my start date would be delayed. It was and still is just baffling to me to that someone could be so rude, pushy and thoughtless when someone has suffered a tragic (and unexpected/sudden) loss. I decided to decline the offer … I wrote two people in HR to let them know and express my horror at what the recruiter did … one of the HR people apologized and the other (who was a higher up) hit reply all in the email (accidentally including me) and said lets move on.
It was intensive and lengthy process. I will say most people I met with were great. However, what happened at the end and the company response was just appalling.
