I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at TopBike Rental & Tours (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2023
Interview
I was given two interviews, the first from Florien and then from the CEO. The CEO talked with me for 4 hours, describing a very militaristic hiring process and relating that "part time" minimal hours required a commitment to 36 weekly hours including at least one 12-hour shift. That is, rather interesting since the other Roman bike tour companies with which I'm familiar all lack minimum hours but one clearly informed me that he did not recommend that any employee work more than four 4-to-6-hour shifts per week, and that none of his tour leaders does.
The CEO likewise seems very discriminatory. He exhibited some very conservative and biased ideas. After stating how impressed he was, with my related education and background, he tried to pressure me into an immediate commitment to inflexible weekly hours despite my postgraduate studies and other work.
When he noticed I needed a little time to decide on suitable hours (due to his 12-hour shifts), he then sent me an extremely abusive email, not at all regarding the schedule but abusive on a personal level.
I'm glad he did so since it definitely finalised my decision. I would not willingly place myself in such a situation.
They seem to have a big turnover in that they have "enough employees" and are subsequently hiring once again every couple of weeks (or even days), at least during the period I've known them.
There are numerous other options in Rome and even more so for native English speakers. There are a great many other bicycle tour companies, and all in my experience behave much more respectfully toward potential employees than this one. There is no need at all to consider working here.

Question 1
They asked regarding my experience and background but seemed much more interested in my background. It did not seem to difficult to receive an employment offer.
