I was invited to have a virtual interview for this position, and I was very excited. I spent hours studying the company, position, my credentials, etc., just for both interviewers to leave their cameras off. I was speaking to a blank screen for my entire, hour long interview. I have done a lot of interviews for various companies and I have never been greeted by interviewers with their cameras off. It really brought down the entire experience for me and completely turned me off from the company. It’s lacks professionalism, made it seem as though they did not care about my time, and was incredibly impersonal. I declined the offer for a second interview as I really don’t think that a company who can’t even bother to turn on their cameras for your interview is a company I want to be a part of.
