Supply Chain - Customer Service Interview

      Sep 5, 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Phoenix, AZ
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Trace3 (Phoenix, AZ)

      Interview

I sent my resume to the e-mail provided on the job listing on Monster.com - I then was contacted by HR and had an initial phone screening to make sure I was right for the position. My first interview was set up for the following day with the managerial staff in-person. It was a three-person panel and the interview was quite simple... basically, they knew what they were looking for and found it in me. My second "interview" was more of a social test - they had me out to dinner with the team and a big client to basically make sure I could socialize properly with clients and customers. This was different than anything I have ever experienced before, and I absolutely loved it. Everyone was extremely nice - and we had a great time. A few days later, I was contacted directly by the General Manager who wanted to meet with me for my third "interview".. which we set up for that afternoon. I got to hear about the ins and outs of Trace 3 directly from him, and it was great to be able to learn so much about his background and about the background of the company as a whole. At the end of our 1.5 hr long 'chat' - he told me they were going to present me with an offer by next Tuesday (this was on a Thursday). Low and behold, the very next day, I got a call from the initial person I spoke with from HR that completed my phone screening - and he asked me where my thoughts were at and what I thought about the position and the company as a whole. I thought he was just making a follow-up call. About 5 minutes into the call, he told me "the company is extending an offer to you" and gave me all of the salary and benefits information. The entire process was very fast, and very exciting. HireRight is the background service that they used to check my references and prior employment - and that was honestly the most time-consuming and stressful step, as I got daily e-mails from HireRight that they couldn't get ahold of one of my references, who had already contacted them! Anyways, I truly hope that this works out, as I am starting my new position in 2 weeks!!
