    Project Manager Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Translations.com (Corvallis, OR).

    Interview

The first interview was a brief phone interview with the general manager of the location. Then, I was called for an in-person interview about a month later. The in-person interview was long and conversational, with questions in-between. About a month later they called me to get drug tested and once that was cleared I had the job.

    Interview Questions

    • The questions are very ambiguous, things like "How would you fit a giraffe in a refrigerator." They're looking for analytical answers.   Answer Question

    Neutral Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Translations.com.

    Interview

Very basic, was asked what my greatest strengths and weaknesses were, what I found appealing about this position etc. I thought that overall it was fine but that the interviewer lacked enthusiasm or knowledge about the specific position.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Translations.com (Corvallis, OR) in May 2015.

    Interview

After sending in an application, I was contacted to do a brief (20 min) phone interview, followed by a 2hr practice editing exam. The exam involved comparing documents to check for copy edit errors, and comparing a document in a foreign language to an English original to check for formatting, missing content, etc.

    Desktop Publishing Specialist Interview

Anonymous Employee in New York, NY
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Translations.com (New York, NY) in June 2014.

    Interview

Several on-site interviews, one including a short test, along with several phone interviews - one with HR, and one with the general manager for the TDC Production Team. The offices for the main sales team are very beautiful and a bit intimidating. The HR team is predictably bland and unreadable.
