Interview
I recently applied for a UI/UX Designer position at Travelcircus, and my experience was disappointing. Instead of starting with an introductory call or interview to assess mutual fit, the company just sent me a test assignment as the first step in their hiring process.
The assignment was a substantial task, requiring several hours of work of redesigning (!), providing high-fidelity prototypes (!!), and drafting detailed hypotheses (!!!). This was to be completed without any prior context (!!!!) about the company's team, culture, or processes, plus with a 1-week deadline.
No, thanks. The whole company is one big red flag.

Interview
I applied for Account Manager role without acquisition in the description role . During first call I was informed this role involves mostly acquisition.....quite confused with this process as apparently position doesn´t match the description - for me already a lack of transparency

Question 1
Never made it to the real interview because I was only asked about salary expectation and interest in doing acquisition
I applied online. I interviewed at Travelcircus (Berlin) in Jul 2022
Interview
Received a call from a HR rep. who asked me the usual questions about availability and experience. Then i was asked my salary expectations, i said i don't have specific expectations but i would like to know what is the range on offer. Then the recruiter said they can't tell me that and acted very weird as if they are hiding something. Every job has a salary range attached to it, so why not be transparent. Very shady and not a good first impression at all.
