I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tripadvisor
Interview
After submitting a resume to an on campus recruiter, received an email for an interview. about The interview took place a week later following a short email exchange about scheduling. During a 1:1 on campus interview the interviewer asked a couple of questions on binary search trees: methods of traversing (breadth first vs. depth first) ) and implementation (how to traverse without recursion). The interviewer was very engaged, asked relevant questions and was open to questions about the company and the position. Overall, a positive experience.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Tripadvisor (New Delhi) in Feb 2023

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tripadvisor (Worcester, MA)
Interview
I interviewed on campus, the interviewer was really nice. The interview was mostly behavioral for the first 20 or so minutes then I was asked to solve a coding problem on the whiteboard.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tripadvisor (Needham, MA) in Apr 2018
Interview
They were really kind and quick the whole way through. After a Skype interview and an assignment I was invited on campus, flown into Boston, they even let me stay and visit family. The interview day was speaking to 3 engineers. I knew I messed up the interview, I didn't ask enough questions and my whiteboard code was super sloppy. I don't know what got into me. Anyway, needless to say I was rejected but they were quick and nice about it, took 3 days to get a response.
A company that treats it's employees and even potential employees in the way I was treated is going places, I can tell this is a great place to work. Good luck to anyone else applying, and may TripAdvisor succeed.
