      Talent Acquisition Specialist Interview

      Jun 10, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      O'Fallon, MO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at True Manufacturing (O'Fallon, MO) in May 2019

      Interview

I was contacted by phone by a recruiter and offered an opportunity to come and meet in person. I was told I would be meeting with two people and was asked to reschedule so that both managers could be in attendance to the interview. When I arrived at the interview, I was told that the manager for the position was out of the country and that I would only be interviewing solely with them. First question asked was tell me about yourself? As I began to answer this question the interviewer gave closed body language, was not giving complete eye contact and was fidgeting with their watch. It almost seemed as if they were upset, they had to complete the interview. After every question they would look at the clock as if they had somewhere else to be or were pressed for time. I asked what the timeline on fulfilling this position would be and was told in a very condescending tone they would fill it once they found the right person. The interview ended with no expectation of what would happen next. I followed up with an email to thank the recruiter who initially called me, and I never received a response. I followed up with an email to thank the interviewer and never received a response. I understand timing and right fit are everything to ensure you are making the right selection, but I never felt like I had a chance with this interviewer. Two suggestions I would have for your team is put the HUMAN back in Human Resources, and a reply to the talent even if it is with a decline letter would be better than nothing. A complete waste of time!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about yourself? What other positions have you applied for? Why do you want this job? What do you know about our company and it's mission? Tell me about a time you had a bad experience with a co-worker and how did you handle it? What should I know about you? Why are you a great fit for this role?
