I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TuSimple in Sep 2021
Interview
Interview process involved a coding phone screen followed by a series of mixed system design and behavioral interviews split up over a couple of days. It was unusual to have the onsite interviews split across several different days, but on the other hand having time to rest and prepare in between interviews was nice. Other than coding, interviews were conducted verbally without the use of drawing tools. Once the interviews were complete, feedback came quickly.

Interview
Absolutely horrible communication. I emailed to reschedule well in advance of the requested 24 hour window and had to follow up 3 times in order to get a response. When finally starting the interview, the interviewer informs me that I must be implementing my solution in C++ because its "company policy" (even though in the email I was told I can use any language I want). When I proceeded to tell him this, I was met with a blunt "well I don't know this language". Interviewer did a horrible job explaining the prompt and explaining himself when I would ask for clarifications. Honestly a waste of time
