They were very encouraging and enthusiastic. Pretty normal. Asked a lot about what I would like to do in the office, which was in order to see whether or not I had done my research and knew the topics the Senator focused on.

1 interview. Discussion focused on why I wanted to work in a Senate office, experience dealing with combative people, and how I would respond to a question I didn’t know the answer to.

Application included two written statements, resume, three recommendations, and a cover letter. I had one phone screening interview with operations staff. A few emails and received an offer letter 2-3 weeks after screening.

Interview
Senate HELP committee, fairly easy. Mostly behavioral questions and some about passion and policy interests. Felt like a conversation and they were more than happy to answer my questions as well. It was with the director and a legislative aide.
