I was contacted by a UBS recruiter for an open position after he found my profile on LinkedIn. After a preliminary interview over the phone, I was invited to interview in person with the managers overseeing the role. Sadly, the process to get a time scheduled was extremely unorganized. The women scheduling the interview made several errors that I had to point out for clarification- first interview was scheduled on a holiday when their office was closed, next interview was said to be a phone interview though they wanted me to come into the office, that same issue happened a second time, and after all of this another person tried to schedule an interview not realizing I was already contacted.
Once at the actual interview, I was supposed to meet with the two managers above the role. Sadly, one cancelled that day and made me come back for a second interview. This would not have been an issue, but at that point it was apparent I was not a fit for the role. I was extremely confused and upset that I would even have been asked to come back when the first interview would have sufficed. It was a waste of time on both sides. And, I felt that I was being explained the role during both interviews, rather than actually being interviewed.
Overall, I was very disappointed with how disorganized the process was as whole after I was contacted about the position in the first place. It would have been better if my time was not wasted by coming back for a second interview. And, to round off the experience, I never received a courtesy call/email saying I was not a fit for the role. Not an enjoyable or recommended experience...
