Glassdoor users rated their interview experience at UK Power Networks as 100% positive with a difficulty rating score of 4 out of 5 (where 5 is the highest level of difficulty). Candidates interviewing for Network Modeling Engineer and rated their interviews as the hardest, whereas interviews for Network Modeling Engineer and roles were rated as the easiest.
Had three 'technical' tests + two competency-based questions.
First two technical tests were questions on Python, SQL or statistics (you must pick 2) where the interviewers give you a sheet with some basic stuff and you're supposed to define them.
The last technical test is writing a function to replicate a well-known module (I got the trim() function). But the catch is, you cannot use a laptop so you need to do it on paper. That was a little confusing and I initially didn't understand what the ask was.
Competency based questions were pretty standard (only 2 questions asked). Only thing to note is one interviewer pretends to be technical and the other non-technical.
The interview process is in the form of two round interviews:
- Introductory interview with the manager: General and friendly.
- Technical interview with the manager and an engineer: Assessment in depth.
