      Went to a recruiting station, said wanted to join...filled out some paperwork, got background checks done, pretty staightforward and a hold your hand along the way kind of deal (they wanted people back then)

The Army provided me with excellent opportunities for career advancement while I was in and it most definitely helped me outside of the military in seeking employment down the line.
