Required to go to Officer Candidate School. Upon completion of Officer Candidate School which is 8-12 weeks, one goes to The Basic School, which is 6 months. The Basic School is Marine Corps basic infantry tactics and indoctrination. After this school you select your choices for jobs in the Marine Corps and go to that follow-on school.
