Question 1
can you lead a platoon sized element to kill the enemy
Go to the officer recruiter office and tell them you want to join the military after college. They will work with you to get a competitive package complete. It will not take that long.
I applied in-person. The process took a year or more. I interviewed at US Marine Corps (Denver, CO) in Nov 2012
Interview
First you go to your local Officer Selection Officer, then you compete for a spot to go to Officer Candidate School, and then if you make it through OCS you receive a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. The whole process is very time consuming and requires a lot of work on the weekends to attend pool events and prove your commitment to becoming an Officer Candidate. It is well worth it in the end.

Question 1
What makes you want to serve the United States as a military officer? What makes you want to be a Marine, specifically?
