      Accepted offer

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Navy in Feb 2012

      Interview

There is no interview. Go talk to the recruiter, see what’s available and test for that position. You’ll go to MEPS, bootcamp in Chicago. Next schools are in Pensacola, FL Aircrew Candidate School, Air Rescue Swimmer School and Naval Aircrewman “A” school. Then you’ll go to SERE school (San Diego for me) and your Fleet Replacement Squadron then it’s off to the fleet and deployment. Side note: A lot more people fail in Pensacola than anywhere else and that are trying to get rid of you. Don’t mess up personally or professionally.

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Navy (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2011

      Interview

The interview process was pretty lengthy actually. However it is not the typically interview you would typically do to get a job. There is a lot of paperwork that you have to provide and they test your aptitude a few times to see where you may fit best in the armed forces. There will be multiple meetings and if you are approved there will be up to a year long pre-military period where you show up and get to know the other people who are getting prepared to enter the navy.
