I heard through friends that the SBA was hiring loan processors to assist Sandy victims. I called HR and was instructed to email them a resume. Within a few days, I received a call from a supervisor requesting I come in for an interview that day or the next (Saturday). I interviewed on Saturday and was hired. Orientation was Monday and training started on Tuesday.
Simple and straightforward. There were very easy questions to answer. Nothing out of the ordinary. The process is different now so you should do research before applying. There are a lot of new questions that you have to answer in the application process.
Basic interview consisted of questions proving that you had a good idea how to do the job. Interviewer was very professional. Follow up was prompt. There were a lot of forms to fill out.
Simply base questions: Go over hours, salaries and benefits. Ask if you're planning any vacations and if so when. That about it. Be prepared to go over salary based on your location. .
