3 interview phases. Went through HR interview, situational/behavioral interview with the SVP/current manager then final interview to present 30/60/90 day plan + additional follow up questions with the SVP, VP & current manager. Phase 2 and 3 were about 1hr 30+ mins maybe longer. The SVP and manager advised they really enjoyed our conversations and had me as a strong candidate and validated I had the necessary skill set they were looking for but after all that hard work they ended up ghosting me for 4 weeks after advising they would follow up. I sent a thank you email to them after the interview, no response. Sent a follow up email 2 weeks later, no response. Another 2 weeks to go bye and I reach out to the HR for an update no response. I just felt it was very unprofessional for an organization to put a person through all the effort and leave them hanging. Definitely dodged a bullet with this company as their questions were repetitive into what I presented, my presentation slides of my plan outlined how I would build a relationship with the team especially during the 1st 30 days slide by regularly setting up 1x1s but the SVP emphasized and made comments like “you should set up 1x1s to meet with your team early”on after my presentation was over, so it goes to show the negative experience that continued to add up throughout this process as I’m not wanting to list every detail out. To top it off, the current manager and the SVP weren’t present as they needed to attend a high school football game. I normally don’t post reviews and just keep pushing forward but as Glassdoor requires you to post a review/salary to use their app, thought could just provide some context for the next person looking into this role. My current/previous role is a Manager in the financial space as well, so I’ve been on their side of the table numerous times and the conversations weren’t genuine, humane and felt disrespected by the comments that were made. They used AI for their interviews but I’m not sure how well they reviewed through them based on items I had to repeat, for example my knowledge around compliance (Reg E specifically). Before applying, I would ask yourself if this is the people you want to work with? Because as a leader of a team, I look out for my people, or people who may join my team. I listen, and thank people for their time and provide timelines, provide insight on their company and the fun things about it, and also why they should join our organization as I know the people applying for the role is an asset in themselves and not a person who may be desperate or needs the job. Thankfully, I was weighing out my options and a few credit unions came of interest and was given the opportunity to have an interview and 3 other organizations and of the 3 including the current one I work for, this was by far the worst experience. Do better Unitus.
