Process faced with racism when asked if a I speak an asian language. I was asked to come into the office to meet face to face and to discuss the potential opportunity along with other suitable opportunities as well. During a conversation the President of Update Legal comes into the room abruptly asks if I speak Chinese, waits for a smirk from the interviewer and proceeds to leave the room. In my extensive career/interviews I've never experienced this level of racism and unprofessionalism. Beyond being speechless, I got up and left the building. Let this be a points of reference to those of color/other races looking to interview here. Please be aware and save yourself some time before coming here.
