Very informative. Interviewer had a great understanding of the role and familiarity with my resume. The interview was a conversation the whole time and I had room to ask questions.

A virtual interview was initiated very quickly because I was more than qualified for the posted position. The interview started off awkward with interviewer asking if we could turn off screen "due to service interference". It was awkward because I was prepared and looking forward to face to face interaction type interview. If it had been a phone interview I would have prepared more material to discuss to avoid awkward silences and pauses. That can be considered my own preparedness issue. However, from there, the interviewer seemed unqualified to be performing interviews. Again, I was more than qualified for the said position, but it appeared interviewer did not spend the time to review my resume or cover letter. He asked very few relevant questions and spoke very quickly. Then, he turned the interview to me to fill in any additional information about myself he should know and proceeded to cut me off while I was responding. I personally enjoy interviewing. I have done interview coaching for friends. I think it's important to be able to represent yourself accurately and allowing y to your best qualities to shine. I have been other interviews where the interviewer was not qualified, but this experience has topped that list. He has many years doing what he does well it appears, but interviews should be left to someone more personable and capable. Worst part is if they had offered me the position, which they did not, I would have had to decline because I could not have worked alongside this person. I knew that immediately as soon as the virtual call was ended.
