I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Upsight (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
The interview process was standard for the industry except that I had a phone screening with a recruiter, then the VP, then the hiring manager. After that I was invited for an on-site interview.

Question 1
Before the interview they asked me to prepare a presentation - on any topic of my choice. The purpose was to see how well I presented for small groups. When I got to the interview they informed me this is also how they "weed" out candidate who are not serious about the position.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Upsight in Jul 2012
Interview
Kontagent is very particular about the employees it hires. Normally candidates will go through a resume screening and a phone screening and might also need some sort of personal referral before being invited to interview in person. The in person interviews are thorough, but enjoyable. Everyone is very kind, but it's clear they are looking for good people. If you don't feel comfortable spending a full day interviewing, including competency tests and actually putting together a presentation, then this might not be your gig.

Question 1
There was a 3 hour "culture fit" test, as well as a "flexibility assessment" test, both of which were prerequisites to my finishing the interview process. In addition, I was asked detailed knowledge of my technical understanding of SDKs and APIs even though I don't have a technical background.
