Standard interview process. My recruiter was cool. I went through the 90 minutes panel interview and during my second interview the interviewer laughed at my experience and told me that he didn’t think I would be successful in the role due to my lack of experience but then turned around and told me that he hired someone with no experience and they turned out to be a great employee. I felt berated and as a black woman it felt pretty intentional. It was the worst interview process I had ever experienced. I pretty much decided right then and there that I wouldn’t pursue this company and ended up working for a much better software development company a few weeks later. They never let me know that I didn’t get the job which is awful considering I spent so much time preparing and interviewing for this company but I definitely feel like I dodged a bullet. My recruiter was nice though, that’s about the only positive that I have.
