After two initial phone screenings, I made it to the next phase, which included six separate zoom meetings in one day. Everyone I met with was nice and incredibly passionate about the company.
A few days later, the talent acquisition consultant asked for my availability to provide an update on the role. I responded that day with my availability but never heard back from her. I followed up again a week later and got no response. At this point, I assume they went in another direction. But I find it to be unprofessional and disrespectful to not respond at all, particularly after spending an entire day going through interviews.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Nov 2025
Interview
Excessively long, complicated, drawn out. I was subjected to numerous interviews over several months, followed by a personality assessment that was required a few days prior to cattle call-like in-person interview series. I went through all of this and then rejected for internal candidate. Waste of time and energy. It was clear during this final round (and not ever discussed beforehand) that the organization is focused on quantity rather than quality.
30 min Hiring manager interview after recruiter screening to assess fit with general questions regarding experience, behavior, and fit. Started with why changing roles, interest in the company to role specific questions
I interviewed at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Boston, MA)
Interview
Got on the phone with the hiring manager, wasn’t a fit. Got an email stated following up with the recruiter multiple times saying it wasn’t the fit. If I had gone forward I think they said it would be a panel interview but I never made it that far.
